Pro Fit iPhone mount/UltiMount V2

I've had several iPhone/iPod vehicle mounts and haven't been completely satisfied with any of them. My goal was a strong, solid iPhone mount that allowed the attachment of a non-Apple dock connector, didn't wobble when the screen was touched, was rotatable & lockable and could be mounted close enough to the steering wheel to allow operation of GPS software without removing my hand from the wheel. The Pro Fit meets all of these targets - it's very well made indeed (rare), has no clamps that protrude past the screen, is modular should I ever have to replace parts and the adhesive disk sticks firmly to the top of my dash - it's a very well thought out product!

Plus points:
The rotatable ball mount allows the positioning of the phone at any angle and is firm enough to hold its position, though I use mine locked into place.
The phone holder is just big enough to accommodate a very thin iPhone case - unexpected but welcome. Bigger cases will have to be removed.
Totally solid - it allows fine fingertip control even while driving
The adhesive disk was easy to mount (following instructions) and shows no signs of coming off. I'm trusting that it will be removable as advertised! Much better than a windshield mount and flexible (i.e. wobbly) stalk.
Takes the dock connector that runs to my head unit (larger than the apple connector)
Does not block the air vent! Ever wondered what condensation will do to your phone?

Minus points:
Not particularly elegant, but then with the phone in place it is almost completely hidden
The ball mount is already scored and marked from using the clamp but this appears to be cosmetic. Does not affect functionality.

I've had it for a month and I'm very satisfied with it. Best iPhone mount I've bought so far.

Wish list? Taser function to prevent texting while driving and other similar signs of a failing mind (grin)
